Balika Vadhu Written Update Of 16-08-11 :
LOCATION: Haveli
The sisters are putting on rakhi on their brother. Everyone is looking happy and joyous. Sugna’s kid have a little nok jhok were the brother wont tell the sister what the present is. Shyam gives Anandi books on social work to help her in the path that she has choosen. He also gives her a chandi ka sika for good luck. He states he didn’t know what to get her, Anandi replies that this is his ashirwaad there couldn’t have been a better present then that.
Sugna then gets a call on her mobile and its Jagat calling she puts the phone down and notices that nandu has come for rakhi. She says that she cant put it on him yet as she has to do the older brother first, nandu replies that bhaisa is not there, to which sugna says that what does that matter, if bhaisa is not there Bhabisa is. Sugna tells Anandi to come sit and she does the rakhi puja on her instead. Both get emotional, whilst Jagat is still there on the line listening to everything that is happening. Sugna then asks for her present from Anandi. Anandi gives her a photo of God. Then Nandu comes and asks for a big rakhi. Sugna does the Rakhi rasm on Nandu. Shyam then notices the call and sees that Jagat is on the line.
LOCATION: Jagat and Gauri’s House
Jagat cancels the call and breaks down crying. Gauri is trying to console him as best as she can. That they will always be there for eachother and asks him to control his emotions.
LOCATION: Sugna’s Room
Sugna is looking at the photo Anandi gave and starts to cry. Shyam comes into the room and tries to console her. He understands what she is going through, he states she should have sent the rakhi and kept the maan of the relationship. The fault is of Jagat’s not her’s so why is she feeling like this. He states in the past that Jagat always come for rakhi, and if he couldn’t come she sent the rakhi. She too has lost the right to put rakhi on Jagat. Today he should have just seen him as a brother and not the culprit who has made Anandi suffer. Sugna replies that Anandi’s hurt is bigger then this day. Anandi has lost a lot therefore Jagat should lose something as well, she should lose something as well in return. She takes out the box which she had bought the rakhi for Jagat, she states how every year she takes great care of his rakhi’s
LOCATION: Mumbai Bazaar
Gauri and Jagat are out shopping and Gauri asks him to buy his favourite vegetables. Jagat looks disinterested but Gauri tries to engage him by talking about different foods like he would like to eat. She then take him clothes shopping and she ends up wearing the clothes that she chooses for Jagat, this makes him smile. They have a play fight back at home and have a romantic eye locking session on the bed, she then lies and calls out Kunda Tai’s name which makes Jagat jump. In the next scene they are sitting eating popcorn and watching some old songs. Jagat changes the channel and states they should watch cricket to support their country. Gauri starts having a popcorn fight with him.
LOCATION: Random House
Anandi and her student know on some ladies house and a stern looking man who is the woman’s husband opens the door. She speaks and calls the man Kaka and talks about what she is trying to do and about teaching parents English, and wants them to join the school. The man replies where is her gungaat she is the beendini of DS how can she freely walk like this in the villiage. She asks that he lets his wife and daughter in law join the school. He replies that he will, but will he teach them all in the gungaat. Anandi replies if that is the stipulation then that is how she will do it
PRE-CAP
Trying to instill education in the lives of people who are uneducated is a difficult task. The teacher often has to suffer humiliation at every step.
VOICEOVER
Gauri is talking to Jagat about speaking to the professor about the semester. Scene ends with Gauri talking to the professor asking for forgiveness
